Sweet Custard

Ingredients

Based on 4 servings per recipe.

  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Beat together all ingredients until fully blended.
  3. Pour into 4 lightly-greased custard cups
  4. Place custard cups in a baking pan and fill pan with enough hot water to reach halfway up the sides of the custard cups.
  5. Custards are done when a knife inserted near the center comes out clean, approximately 1 hour.
  6. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
  7. For 7 minute custard, place bowls in the microwave and cook at low power for 7 minutes turning cups as needed for even cooking
