Randy Yim knows that kidney disease can happen to anyone, at any stage – he was in his early 30s and enjoying life as a newlywed when he was diagnosed. While it was a shock, Randy immediately started dialysis three times a week at Northwest Kidney Centers and began pursuing a kidney transplant. But he’s turning his experience into something bigger – using his voice to raise awareness about kidney disease and the importance of living organ donation.
An avid sneaker collector, Randy created an Instagram series called #KicksNDialysis, where he shares the shoes he wears to treatments and the memories they hold. His passion for shoes has sparked important conversations about kidney disease and the need for transplant donors. His strength and hope are truly inspiring, and we’re grateful to Randy or sharing his journey!
