Carrie McCabe, vice president of finance and chief financial officer at Northwest Kidney Centers, has been appointed interim chief executive officer of the not-for-profit dialysis provider, effective Nov. 2.
She will guide the organization during recruitment of a president and CEO to succeed Joyce F. Jackson, who will retire Nov. 1.
“Carrie joined Northwest Kidney Centers in November 2014 and since then has led and supported a number of efforts to create a financial foundation to enable our growth to meet the needs of our patients,” said Rich Bloch, chair of the Northwest Kidney Centers board of trustees.
“She has a deep understanding of strategy, operations, public policy and governance at Northwest Kidney Centers and is well suited to serve in the interim role,” Bloch said. He noted that McCabe will serve until the new CEO is appointed. She will return to her role as vice president of finance and chief financial officer when a new CEO is in place.
The board of trustees has retained the firm Spencer Stuart to conduct a nationwide search for a CEO to lead the organization and build upon Northwest Kidney Centers’ excellent work in service to patients.
